Interim Director of Children’s Ministries
(Part-Time from June 2024-January 2025)

We hope to have someone hired by the beginning of June 2024.

Overview:  
The Interim Children's Ministries Director will begin by working with the current Director of Children's Ministry to plan and lead the children's ministry (birth-6th grade), including Sunday morning programs, Wednesday night programs, and summer programs from June – August. Beginning at the end of August, the Interim Director of Children’s Ministries will lead the ministry while the current director is on maternity leave into January 2025.

Expectations:

1.  We expect the Interim CM Director to be team player looking for the best interest of the other staff and ministry volunteers (Philippians 2).

2.   We expect the Interim CM Director to be in whole-hearted agreement to the doctrine, mission/vision and values of North Orange Christian Church.

3.   We expect the Interim CM Director to be part of the life of North Orange Christian Church, this includes being present at North Orange worship services and events, for the duration of their employment.

Core Responsibilities:
Be a self-starter who can learn alongside the Director of Children’s ministry in order to then be able to run the behind-the-scenes and administrative side of children’s ministry as well as be an engaging up-front leader for kids.

1. Prepare and implement curriculum for Sunday morning and Wednesday evening programming for birth-6th grades.

2. Coordinate volunteers and run Sunday morning programs.

3. Lead children’s ministry midweek program on Wednesday evenings.

4. Work with Director of Children’s Ministry to plan summer and family events.

5. Attend weekly meetings with Director of Children’s Ministry and/or Senior Pastor.

6. Assist in the upkeep of children’s ministry rooms and supplies.

7. Other administrative tasks involved in the ministry--communication with leaders and parents, running social media, etc.

 Hours / Compensation:
15-20 hours per week @ $18-20 per hour (based on experience)

Hours are flexible, except for Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, & other special children’s ministry programs
