Welcome to High Rise!
HighRise is our preteen ministry at North Orange for 5th-6th graders.
In our preteen environment, we use the Wonder Ink curriculum which is created to be biblically-rooted AND developmentally appropriate for this age group. This curriculum is built on four core truths:
God knows me.
Jesus loves me.
The Holy Spirit leads me.
I am a child of God!
What Will My Kids Be Doing While in KidZone?
Our time is split into four sections:
1. Curiosity- Hands-on activities to spark curiosity and get kids thinking about the wonder of God.
2. Belief- A time of worship music, learning a memory verse, and an interactive dive into Scripture that guides kids into knowing God, exploring His big story, and marveling at His wonder.
3. Faith- An intentional conversation that helps kids see the wonder of God’s story and how it connects to their own.
4. Identity- An interactive worship response activity or game that creates space for God to remind kids that they are known, loved, led, and their lives can tell of God’s wonder.
Where Will My Kids Be During the Service?
-Kids will begin in their 5th/6th grade small group classroom from 10:00-10:15am for the “curiosity'“ section. They meet in our blue trailers, room T2.
-Then, all small groups (1st-6th grades) will come together for the “belief” section in our Fellowship Hall from 10:15-10:45am.
-Kids will then return to their small group rooms for the “faith” and “identity” sections. This is where you will pick up your children at the end of service.
Each Sunday children will go home with resources to continue to grow their faith at home with parents who have the greatest impact on their child’s spiritual development. Also, be sure to follow us on instagram and facebook (@nocckidzone) for up-to-date information about what’s happening at KidZone.
We hope you’ll join us on a Sunday morning! When you check in at the kiosk, you will receive a name tag for your child and a matching parent tag. When you return after the worship service, your parent tag is your claim check to pick up your child. Safety is important to us in the KidZone, so this check out system is to ensure your child’s safety.

CURRENT SERIES IN HIGH RISE - PRETEEN MINISTRY
DATES: November 30 - January 3
Preteen Series Description: Our kids will have many opportunities throughout their faith journeys to explore the nativity story and celebrate the birth of our baby King. But perhaps just as compelling as the day itself is the long-expected nature of Messiah’s birth. God had promised a King. The prophets foretold His story.
The weeks leading up to Christmas Day can be a time of vibrant anticipation, of knowing that something worth waiting for is coming, and yet having to wait it out. In this series, kids will celebrate Advent in a new way as they discover the prophecies about the coming Savior from Isaiah in the Old Testament and the fulfillment of those prophecies in the birth of Jesus and the promise of His return.
